Do you find it difficult to choose a colour palette that is aligned with your values and reflects the essence of your project?
As I always say, before starting with the visual image of your brand, it is important to have a well-worked personal brand and to know very well what the values, philosophy and value proposition of this are.
Assuming that this is already done, the first thing we have to keep in mind when choosing a colour palette is that this colour palette must be reflected in all the visual elements of our brand so that there is consistency and so that our brand is easy to recognize.
Now, how many colours do I choose and how do I know if they go together? As a general concept, I give you some quick steps to start setting ideas:
Start by choosing between 2 or 3 accent colours at most. That is, 2 or 3 stronger colours that will be more prevalent, the main characters. You can use these colours to highlight words or buttons (CTAs) on your website, that is, to draw attention to a specific point.
Choose another pair of neutral colours; choose between whites, grey scale, blacks, natural (such as creams, beige, browns, earth tones), and in general all colours close to grey. These colours will serve you as backgrounds or as separators of sections within your designs since their goal is to accompany the text, not stand out above it.
With this more or less clear, I leave you here 4 tools that I usually use for the development of a visual identity or the design and development of a website and that I hope will serve you!
Palettab
This first tool is a very inspiring Google extension that mixes colour palette and typography (watch out for using 2 or 3 typographies at most so that it does not look like a carnival party ????).
What I like most? Well, every time you open a new page, the first thing that will come out is the combination of colours and typographies so that you are always inspired.
Choose your colors for your visual branding In addition, you can refresh to show new combinations!
To install it, you just have to go to Google and press the “Install” button – I leave you here the link – https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/palettab/bidckpnndigbjhmojikkhmejkfkpgoih
Color supplyyy
With this tool, in its freemium part; it shows you the colour wheel with combinations of complementary, analogous and other various colour blends.
In addition to these more common combinations, they have other colour combinations that this group of creative people have created that are very cool.
What’s most powerful? Well, you can see the colour mix you choose applied to icons, patterns, textures and other visual elements that will help you get a pretty accurate idea of how you should apply your colour palette.

Arts experiments
It’s a Google page and I love it!
It has several functionalities; on the one hand, you can choose the colour palette you have chosen and enter it so that it shows you images with these colours.
On the other hand, and in my opinion, the most powerful thing is that you can put in any image you want and it will show you the colour palette of this, as well as many other images that use the same colours.
Choose your color palette for your visual branding Imagine that there is an image that for some reason you see represents everything or much of what you want to convey with your brand, what better way to choose that palette than through this special image for you?

Color Adobe
In addition to having the option of choosing the colour palette according to the analogous, monochromatic or complementary colours among other options, it has an option called “Explore”
What’s cool about this option?
Well, you can do a search by words that are related to your values, feelings that you want to convey with your project or any word that you can think of that is related to the essence of your brand. The ideal is that the word you enter is related to the feeling (relaxation, calm, peace), the colour or the sector (yoga, mindfulness, spirituality) that you want to convey in your project.
Imagine that you have already defined the values of your brand, what better option than to enter them one by one here? This way you can not only see the color palette that is associated with them but also the type of images that best convey that word.
But that’s not all! Another cool thing about this tool – if, the colour theme motivates me quite a bit if it hadn’t been noticed, haha – another option is the …drum roll… Trends!
Yes, as you hear. In this tab, you will find trends from all sectors related to colour. So whatever your sector, you can see where the colours of the moment are moving so that they can help you choose.
